Eurasian Foods Corporation is looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join its technical team and take ownership of the technical condition and reliability of production equipment. This role is designed for an engineer who wants to go beyond fixing breakdowns, understand failure mechanisms, improve maintenance practices and implement solutions that prevent recurring issues.
The scope includes food processing and packaging equipment, automated filling lines, mechanical and pneumatic systems, electrical drives, sensors and auxiliary equipment.
Key responsibilities
· Provide technical support to production and maintenance personnel during planned and unplanned maintenance activities.
· Troubleshoot complex and recurring equipment failures, identify causes and develop containment solutions.
· Monitor the technical condition of assigned equipment and follow-up after repairs or ajustments until stable operation is confirmed.
· Contribute to the development and improvement of preventive maintenance programs, including task content, intervals, working instructions and checklists for shutdown scope.
· Analyze failure and downtime history, perform Root Cause Analysis and follow corrective actions through effectiveness verification.
· Maintain accurate equipment history in SAP PM, ensuring the quality of failure, maintenance and material-consumption records.
· Work with OEM-manuals, drawings, electrical and pneumatic diagrams and spare-parts catalogues;
· Develop and implement technical improvements and modifications aimed at increasing equipment reliability, safety and efficiency.
· Define critical spare-parts demand, analyze premature component failures and develop technical replacement solutions, including obsolescence cases.
· Communicate with equipment manufacturers and service providers: prepare technical requests and support troubleshooting, repairs and modernization activities.
What we expect
· University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, Automation or a related technical field.
· At least 3 years of hands-on experience with industrial production equipment.
· Practical understanding of mechanical and electromechanical systems, including bearings, transmissions, gearboxes, pneumatics, vacuum systems, pumps, valves, sensors and drives.
· Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to test technical hypotheses in a structured and evidence-based way.
· Ability to read technical drawings, diagrams and OEM-documentation.
· Understanding of preventive maintenance principles and basic root-cause analysis tools.
· Willingness to work regularly on the production floor and cooperate closely with operators, mechanics, automation specialists and production teams.
· Confident user of MS Office, PowerPoint, Excel.
· English at Intermediate level or above is preferred, sufficient for working with technical documentation and basic communication with international OEMs.
Would be an advantage
· Experience in FMCG, food, beverage, pharmaceutical, packaging, tobacco or another highly automated manufacturing environment.
· Experience with SAP PM or another CMMS.
· Hands-on exposure to HMI, PLC-diagnostics, servo-drives and frequency drives.
· Knowledge of QA-instruments, 8D, FRACAS, Lean, TPM, participation in commissioning projects.
· Knowledge of Spanish, German or French sufficient for communication.
