This position operates under a hybrid work model, requiring onsite presence Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, with Wednesday and Friday designated as remote workdays. While this schedule is typical, team or business needs may require additional onsite days.
Location and Travel Requirements
Corporate Office Location Update: Currently, the Daisy Brand corporate office is located in Dallas, TX at 635 and 75. Anticipated September 2027, we will be moving to the Granite Park business complex in North Plano (intersection of Dallas North Tollway and Sam Rayburn Tollway).
Travel Requirements: Up to 25%
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare Conceptual & Detailed Engineering Designs for Manufacturing Systems, including Dairy Process Systems, Packaging Systems, Utility Systems, and/or Waste Treatment Systems.
- Engineering Designs to include P&IDs, PFDs, Equipment Layouts, Equipment Sizing, Equipment Specification, Equipment Selection, Mechanical Piping Drawings, Electrical Drawings, Bill of Materials, Bid Package Drawings, etc.
- Create and Maintain Company-wide Engineering Design Standards and Specifications for Manufacturing Systems
- Manage the Engineering Design and Equipment Procurement for Projects, including Capital Expansion Projects, Continuous Improvement Projects, and Innovation Projects
Qualifications And Requirements
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or similar degree from an accredited college/university
- Minimum of 5 years working within an Engineering role in the Food & Beverage or Consumer Goods Industry
- Detailed Design of P&IDs, PFDs, and Equipment Floor Layouts.
- Detailed Equipment Design, Specification, and Selection for Packaging and Material Handling Equipment
- Detailed Equipment Design, Specification, and Selection for Heat Exchangers, Pumps, Valves, Tanks, and other Processing Equipment
- Detailed Design of Clean-in-Place (CIP) Systems with knowledge of equipment sanitation
- Detailed Design of Electrical Conduit, Wiring, and Controls Architecture for Manufacturing Equipment
- Creating and Maintaining Design Standards and Specifications
- Basic AutoCAD skills, specifically for conceptual equipment layouts
- Experience working in a Manufacturing Plant
- Excellent Formal and Informal Communicate on Skills, Professional Attitude, and Professional Appearance.
- Strong Computer Skills (MS Office)
