Civil Highway Engineer (Transportation)

We are currently seeking a self-motivated and energetic Highway Design Engineer to join its transportation group in our Albany office.

Duties Include

• Highway engineering design including development of horizontal and vertical alignments, drainage systems, pavement design, signing and pavement markings, traffic signals, work zone traffic control, and erosion and sediment control.
• Preparation of reports, plans, specifications, and estimates.
• Field reconnaissance, data collection, and inspection.

• Candidates should have an accredited B.S. degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Transportation.
• 3-6 years of related consulting experience is a plus.
• Registration as an EIT in New York (or eligibility to obtain) and the ability to secure the New York State professional engineering license is desired.
• Applicants should have solid verbal and written communication skills, and be able to interact effectively within a project team, including internal team members and client or agency team members.
• Proficiency with MicroStation and OpenRoads is a plus.
• Experience with NYSDOT specifications and design a plus.
