The Work

Responsibilities

As a PCB Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing complex circuit board designs according to customer specifications. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with clients to understand their requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Conducting component selection based on performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Performing high-speed signal integrity analysis to ensure precise timing and mitigate EMI impacts.
  • Developing power profiles and selecting onboard power regulation and distribution systems to meet the circuit's power requirements.
  • Specifying PCB stack-up criteria to optimize signal integrity and thermal management.
  • Overseeing layout and routing activities to ensure adherence to design guidelines and standards.
  • Creating and executing validation and integration plans to verify the performance and functionality of the circuit board designs.

Conducts or participates in the research, design, development, and testing of COTS or custom computing hardware and/or otherelectrical components. Develops designs for the installation of components and assembliesinto chassis, racks, cabinets,workstations, customer facilities, and/or shelters. Plans, directs, reviews and coordinates preparation of project documentation to ensure customer contract and company requirements are met. Prepares specifications, evaluates vendors, and analyzes test reports.

Basic Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering in related field and/or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in circuit board design in either digital or analog.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, or Mentor Graphics PADS.
  • Knowledge of component selection, power distribution, and PCB stack-up design.
  • Ability to validate hardware and integrate with other PCBs and assemblies.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $85300.00 - $158300.00

  • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
