Engineer Gearbox Housing Design
Job Introduction
Creation of concept design for housings, covers, bracket and other parts e.g. plastic deflector, NVH cover, inverter boxes and covers, bolts, for gearbox variants acc. to requirements.
Major Responsibilities
- Prototype and serial development and detailed design of gearbox and hybrid/e-drive components (focus on housing and above-mentioned parts)
- Deriving technical drawings of the created components and assemblies with respect to design of manufacturing.
- Creating technical presentations and tolerance calculations
- Interpretation of casting simulation and CAE calculation
- Coordination of constructed components with suppliers and project team (participation on project meetings, change management, FMEA, requirements management, interface definition)
- Testing support for prototype builds, evaluation of test results with test engineer (e.g. lubrication tests)
- Completed studies in mechanical engineering or a comparable discipline.
- Deep know how on components and subsystems according to related Building Block (housings, plastic parts; steel-covers; screws). Preferred several years of experience.
- Catia level professional
- Proactive, solution oriented and structured way of working as well as resilience.
- Experienced use of MS Office applications
- High degree of flexibility, initiative with a team orientation
- Basic knowledge in the field of hydraulics and electrification of gearbox in automobiles
- Ability to work in a team, willingness to learn, quality awareness and independent working style.
- Know how on gearbox systems, Inverter, cooling systems
- Know how on related casting manufacturing processes
- Know how in change management process and tools
- Skills in organization and communication
- Excellent English language skills, both verbal and written
- 3 to 5 years of experience
