Responsibilities
Program & Engineering Support
- Support engineering and program management activities for USAF programs.
- Help develop objectives, integrated roadmaps, schedules, and budgets.
- Assist with design, integration, testing, and technical reviews.
- Prepare SOWs, specifications, briefs, and engineering documents.
- Review and analyze vendor proposals within legal guidelines.
- Conduct data gathering, analysis, and validation of program documentation.
- Support R&D, acquisition planning, and implementation.
- Help manage cost, schedule, and performance across program phases.
- Assist with milestone planning, briefing development, and coordination.
- Support JCIDS, CONOPS, architectural views, security certifications, and acquisition reporting.
- Assist with acquisition strategies, capability development plans, and transition to PEOs.
- Develop and communicate technology roadmaps and integration plans.
- Coordinate across customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
- Work across multiple classified networks while adhering to security requirements
- Coordinate with DAF and other DoW Service Components to install and integrate digital infrastructure worldwide
- Build enterprise network architectures, network topologies, and network kit architectures
- Define Bills of Materials, product level details and specifications to deploy per site
- Work with logistics, cyber, operational, and fellow engineers to deploy a fully capable system to a site
- Define system requirements along with other IPTs
- Define system risks, and opportunities based on operational impacts
- Prepare senior leader briefings and communications for program leadership
- 18+ years engineering experience, including 5+ years supporting a systems program office (or 10+ years with a master’s degree).
- Experience with software development, integration, or lifecycle management as it relates to system engineering processes, including software-driven system design and implementation.
- Experience with global networking, cloud data center, and network point of presence build out.
- Experience with classified or special access programs.
- Self starter able to work independently and with senior level government personnel.
- Skilled in cross organizational coordination and problem-solving.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Teams).
- Strong experience with engineering tools (Cameo, DOORS) and digital engineering practices.
- Knowledge of military platforms, systems, operations.
- Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Confluence or Jira.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, or related technical field; or master’s degree plus 12+ years’ experience.
- Integration of weapons systems, sensors, and C2 capabilities, including cross platform interoperability.
- Experience delivering advanced battle management and C2 capabilities aligned with joint force operations and JADC2.
- Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in a technical field.
- Knowledge of DoD acquisition regulations and FAR.
- Familiarity with AFLCMC frameworks, directives, and policies.
