Senior AWS Platform Engineer

Our client is seeking a Senior AWS Platform Engineer to help build and harden a new AWS AgentCore platform that will be used by multiple teams to develop and deploy AI agents.

This role will focus on platform engineering, observability, security, monitoring, cost management and automation across AWS environments. The successful candidate will have strong experience designing and supporting cloud platforms with Terraform, AWS, DevOps/SRE practices and MLOps technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and enhance AWS AgentCore environments.
• Develop observability and monitoring solutions.
• Implement distributed tracing and logging.
• Create Terraform modules and infrastructure automation.
• Design scalable IAM and access control models.
• Configure cost tracking, reporting and alerting.
• Support Bedrock, SageMaker and AI agent deployments.
• Create operational runbooks and monitoring standards.

Ideal Candidate

Senior cloud platform engineer with 8+ years of AWS infrastructure experience and strong DevOps/SRE expertise. Experience with Terraform, IAM, observability, monitoring, automation, Bedrock, SageMaker and AI/ML platforms is highly desirable. Candidates should have worked on enterprise cloud platforms and possess strong infrastructure-as-code and operational support experience.
