We are seeking an AI Solutions Architect to work with an AI product management team, vendor teams, and existing development staff to develop, enhance, and streamline AI systems.

This position will work with minimal supervision and exercise independent judgment within well-defined parameters. The AI Solutions Architect will provide technical leadership in designing and implementing AI and Agentic AI solutions while collaborating with internal teams and vendors.


Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable AI and Agentic AI solutions aligned with organizational policies, mission requirements, and public-sector standards.
  • Define end-to-end AI architectures, including data ingestion, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, LLM orchestration, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to internal development teams and system integrators.
  • Develop technical specifications, architecture documentation, and design artifacts required for project approvals.
  • Ensure AI solutions align with security, privacy, accessibility, and data-governance requirements, including PII, HIPAA, and CJIS requirements where applicable.
  • Establish reference architectures and best practices for responsible, ethical, and compliant use of AI.
  • Evaluate and integrate AI platforms, cloud services, and vendor solutions in coordination with procurement and legal teams.
  • Design architectures that support explainability, auditability, bias mitigation, and transparency in decision-support systems.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, cloud operations, cybersecurity, and data teams to operationalize AI solutions from proof of concept through production.
  • Support AI strategy and roadmap development, as well as executive briefings related to expanding AI capabilities.
  • Analyze existing code and implementations to understand technical approaches and support architectural decisions.
  • Mentor and educate developers on AI development practices and technical best practices.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
  • Experience developing AI solutions, including Agentic AI and Azure OpenAI.
  • Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), Machine Learning (ML), RAG, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
  • Experience with .NET technologies, including C# and/or VB.NET.
  • Experience with HTML and JavaScript.
  • Experience with automation technologies such as OCR, Intelligent Document Processing (IDP), and AI/ML.
  • Ability to design and implement Agentic AI solutions based on business and technical requirements.
  • Ability to develop technical specifications, solution designs, and architecture artifacts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to break down complex business problems into logical tasks.
  • Ability to perform code analysis and understand how software is implemented.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities.


Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD.
  • Familiarity with REST and SOAP APIs/services.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Experience with OnBase Unity Client.
  • Experience mentoring developers and promoting development best practices.
  • Experience working in Agile environments, including Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or Lean.
  • Familiarity with Trello and software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes.
