Role Summary
The Transformation Consulting Architect is responsible for leading and delivering business focused IT transformation engagements for customers across the APAC region. The role partners closely with customer stakeholders to assess current state operating maturity across people, process, and technology; align IT capabilities with business priorities; and define actionable transformation roadmaps. The consultant supports both value creation and value realisation by guiding customers through operating model optimisation, service management improvement, automation enablement, and cloud capability adoption, with a strong emphasis on measurable outcomes, benefits realisation, and sustained consumption of IT services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead structured discovery and assessment engagements to capture a customer’s current state IT operating baseline, including organisational structure, roles and responsibilities, processes, tooling, and automation maturity.
- Identify and analyse operational, adoption, and consumption challenges that hinder business agility, efficiency, and value realisation.
- Develop prioritised backlogs of improvement opportunities and transformation roadmaps aligned to customer business priorities and desired outcomes.
- Define success measures, metrics, and KPIs to support benefits realisation and ongoing performance management.
- Deliver executive level findings, recommendations, and roadmaps through formal presentations and stakeholder briefings to secure alignment and buy in.
- Support value realisation by assisting customers to implement agreed recommendations, including optimising operating models, policies, processes, RACI, and service management practices.
- Guide iterative value delivery by supporting automation initiatives, operational optimisation, and adoption of cloud capabilities and practices, particularly within VMware Cloud Foundation environments.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior customer stakeholders, providing ongoing guidance on transformation execution, operational maturity improvement, and service consumption optimisation.
- Collaborate with partner and customer teams to ensure transformation initiatives are aligned with broader business strategy and technology direction.

- Extensive experience in IT strategy, architecture, engineering, and operations, with a strong background in transformation or advisory consulting.
- Proven experience delivering IT organisation or operating model transformation programs.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms, infrastructure, automation, and service management practices, including VMware technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to engage at executive level, facilitate workshops, and present complex recommendations clearly and persuasively.
- Experience working across multiple technology domains, such as cloud, virtualisation, automation, networking, security, or operations management.
- Relevant industry certifications including VMware certifications (e.g., VCP VCF Architect, VCP Admin, VCAP VCF Architect) are desirable.
- Enterprise architecture or service management certifications (e.g., TOGAF, ITIL, IT4IT) are desirable.
- Australian Government Security Clearance (NV1) may be required depending on engagement context.
