Lead Functional Consultant – D365 F&O Finance & SCM (f/m/x)

What you'll do

Enpal is transforming its ERP landscape from a traditional D365 F&O setup into an Agentic Enterprise, a clean D365 core with an AI-native execution layer on top. AI-native product squads, organized by E2E process domain (D2O, O2C, P2P, SCE, R2R, MDG), replace traditional workstream towers. Each squad includes a Business Intent Owner (BIO), a Technology Orchestrator, Context Engineers, and Harness Engineers. This role sits in the Finance (R2R, O2C, MDG) squad and is a core contributor to building the agentic operating model that will power Enpal at scale.

As Lead Functional Consultant, you own the Finance & SCM architecture across D365 F&O, defining how GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cash & Bank, and Project Accounting are structured, governed, and evolved across 30+ legal entities. You set the design standards that functional consultants, developers, and partners work within, lead the decisions that are hard to reverse, and ensure that the Finance platform is the trusted, auditable system of record that a complex, multi-entity enterprise demands. In the agentic enterprise, you are also the architectural authority for the Finance agent layer, ensuring that Continuous Close Agents, Revenue Assurance Agents, and Collections Agents operate on a platform that is deterministic, traceable, and financially compliant.

FINANCE ARCHITECTURE & AGENTIC FOUNDATION

• Define, govern, and evolve the Finance architecture across modules: GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cash & Bank, Project Accounting, and Cost Accounting
• Design the architectural foundation for Finance AI agents, ensuring the D365 core provides the deterministic ledger, traceable decisions, and full audit trail that agentic operations require
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, regulatory requirements (IFRS/local GAAP), and global design principles across all legal entities
• Translate complex Finance business requirements into robust D365 F&O designs, clean-core first, with customizations only where legally required or business-critical

STANDARDIZATION & GLOBAL ROLLOUT

• Drive standardization, harmonization, and process simplification across regions and legal entities, ensuring the pilot BU design is locked and rolled out consistently
• Ensure all Finance solutions are designed in a reliable, robust, and scalable way, ready for rollout across 30+ legal entities in the M9–M15 timeframe
• Lead solution governance, blueprinting, and architectural decision-making across the Finance domain
• Provide thought leadership on best practices, industry trends, and Microsoft ecosystem capabilities, including Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, and Microsoft Fabric

DELIVERY LEADERSHIP & STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT

• Provide hands-on guidance to functional consultants, developers, and integration teams, ensuring high-quality delivery across design, build, testing, cutover, and hypercare
• Ensure high-quality delivery across design, build, testing, cutover, and support phases
• Represent Finance architecture in ERP governance forums, design authority reviews, and steering committees up to CFO level

What you'll bring

• Extensive experience in ERP Finance & SCM transformation, with significant hands-on experience in D365 F&O Finance across multiple modules and global rollouts
• Proven architectural leadership designing end-to-end Finance solutions, including integrations, data models, extensions, and ISV evaluations, ideally within high-growth or complex organizations
• Deep functional expertise in core Finance processes (GL, AP, AR, FA, Cash & Bank, Project Accounting, Cost Accounting) and strong understanding of IFRS/local GAAP
• Strong fluency in D365 F&O architecture, including data entities and integration patterns
• Understanding of or strong interest in agentic AI in Finance: how Continuous Close Agents, Revenue Assurance Agents, and Collections Agents operate, and what the platform must provide to support them
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders, including Finance Directors and CFO, with clear communication and decision-making
• Experience leading global implementations across multiple legal entities, including fit-gap analysis, blueprinting, solution governance, and change management
• Collaborative leadership mindset that brings cross-functional teams together and drives clarity in complex global programs
• Fluency in English; German is a plus
