About The Role

As a Solution Architect at 45Drives, you'll help enterprise customers solve complex infrastructure and storage challenges.

You'll work directly with customers to understand their technical needs, design practical solutions, and explain how our technology can solve their problems. You'll also work closely with our Sales, Engineering, and R&D teams throughout the customer journey.

This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys enterprise infrastructure, storage, solution design, problem-solving, and working directly with customers.

You don't need to have the title "Solution Architect" on your resume. If you have a strong background in infrastructure, systems, storage, virtualization, or related technologies and can communicate effectively with customers, we'd like to hear from you.

What You'll Do

• Meet with customers to understand their business and technical requirements.
• Lead technical discovery sessions and identify customer challenges.
• Design enterprise storage and infrastructure solutions.
• Deliver technical presentations, workshops, and product demonstrations.
• Develop solution architectures, technical scopes, and supporting documentation.
• Partner with Sales throughout the customer journey.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear business value.
• Collaborate with Engineering and R&D and share customer feedback and market insights.
• Support implementation planning and provide technical guidance.
• Help customers understand open-source technologies and modern infrastructure solutions.

Required

What You Bring

• Strong technical background in data storage, systems architecture, virtualization, or related technologies.
• Experience designing or supporting enterprise infrastructure solutions.
• Experience analyzing complex technical environments and recommending solutions.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong technical documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work on-site in Wilmington, NC.
• Ability to participate in occasional evening calls and weekend support when required.
• Customer-focused mindset and strong attention to detail.

Education: Post-secondary education in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related discipline is an asset. Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.

Nice to Have

• Experience working directly with enterprise customers in a consultative or pre-sales environment.
• Experience delivering technical presentations, workshops, or product demonstrations.
• Knowledge of open-source technologies such as ZFS, Ceph, Proxmox, or similar platforms.
