RFID Solutions Architect

Location: Troy, MI / Hybrid

Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Opportunity

Our client is a growing technology company developing intelligent solutions that connect the physical and digital worlds. Their technology helps organizations improve real-time visibility, inventory and asset management, traceability, and operational efficiency across complex environments.

We are seeking an experienced RFID Solutions Architect to help design and deliver solutions built around a real-time Inventory and Asset Management System (IMS). This is a highly visible, customer-facing role for an RFID expert who enjoys translating real-world business challenges into scalable technology solutions.

What You'll Do

  • Own end-to-end technical architecture for customer implementations.
  • Lead technical discovery, due diligence, and site assessments.
  • Translate customer requirements into practical RFID and traceability solutions.
  • Design complete ecosystems across RFID tags, readers, antennas, portals, handhelds, printers, edge devices, connectivity, software, and enterprise integrations.
  • Determine when RFID is appropriate versus BLE, barcode, vision, RTLS, sensing, or hybrid technologies.
  • Define system requirements, technical risks, dependencies, and implementation strategies.
  • Support solutions from initial design and proof-of-concept through deployment and production.

What We're Looking For

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience with RFID, RTLS, industrial IoT, automation, traceability, or similar technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of UHF RFID, RF fundamentals, tags/inlays, antennas, fixed and handheld readers, printers, portals, and read-zone design.
  • Experience taking RFID solutions from discovery and site assessment through deployment.
  • Experience in manufacturing, automotive, warehousing, logistics, distribution, food, or other operational environments.
  • Strong customer-facing communication and solution architecture skills.
  • Ability to bridge business requirements, technology, and real-world operational environments.

Why Join?

This is an opportunity to play a key role in designing next-generation RFID and real-time asset visibility solutions while working directly with customers and internal technology teams. You’ll have the opportunity to influence architecture from concept through production and solve complex challenges across connected operations.
