Role: Integration Solution Architect


Role Summary


We are seeking an experienced Integration Solution Architect to lead integration architecture across APIs, microservices, messaging, event-driven services, batch and secure file transfer, connecting modern and legacy banking platforms.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Own end-to-end integration architecture for transformation programmes.
  • Define API, messaging, event-driven, batch and SFTP integration patterns.
  • Design integration flows across Core Banking, Murex MX.3, Coconet MultiVersa, digital channels and enterprise data services.
  • Define API contracts, interface specifications, event schemas and data transformations.
  • Design solutions covering routing, orchestration, validation, reconciliation and exception handling.
  • Define idempotency, ordering, retries, duplicate handling, dead-letter and recovery mechanisms.
  • Design secure integrations across cloud, on-premise and third-party/vendor platforms.
  • Define API security, authentication, encryption, certificates and secure connectivity.
  • Produce integration architecture, interface and sequence diagrams.
  • Manage integration dependencies, sequencing and legacy/target coexistence.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

  • Strong Integration / Solution Architecture experience.
  • Hands-on architecture experience across APIs, microservices, messaging, event-driven, batch and SFTP.
  • Strong understanding of synchronous and asynchronous integration patterns.
  • Experience integrating cloud and legacy systems.
  • Knowledge of API management, security, versioning and lifecycle governance.
  • Strong understanding of message integrity, idempotency, ordering, retries and error handling.
  • Experience with data transformation, orchestration and canonical data models.
  • Experience coordinating integrations across multiple systems and delivery teams.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Kafka or equivalent event-streaming technologies.
  • MQ technologies.
  • Managed File Transfer (MFT).
  • Banking / Payments / Treasury / FX / Capital Markets experience.
  • Murex MX.3 integration experience.
  • Coconet MultiVersa experience.
  • SWIFT, EBICS or Host-to-Host banking integrations.
  • Bank of Ireland experience.
