SAP EWM Techno Functional Consultant

We are seeking an experienced SAP EWM S/4HANA Techno-Functional Consultant with strong hands-on expertise in Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) and good working knowledge of SAP Transportation Management (TM).

The ideal candidate should have a strong combination of functional EWM configuration and technical development/debugging skills, with the ability to independently analyze business requirements, design solutions, configure SAP EWM, develop or enhance technical objects, and troubleshoot complex integration issues across EWM, TM, MM, SD, PP, and S/4HANA.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, implement, and support SAP S/4HANA Embedded EWM solutions.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand warehouse and logistics requirements and translate them into SAP solutions.
• Support end-to-end inbound, outbound, and internal warehouse processes.
• Configure and support:
• Warehouse Structure
• Storage Types, Sections, and Bins
• Activity Areas
• Work Centers
• Warehouse Process Types
• Putaway and Stock Removal Strategies
• Storage Control
• Warehouse Order Creation Rules
• Queue Determination
• Resource Management
• Handling Unit Management
• Packaging Specifications
• Support Inbound Processing, including:
• Purchase Order inbound deliveries
• Advanced Shipping Notifications
• Goods Receipt
• Quality inspection integration
• Putaway
• Cross-docking
• Support Outbound Processing, including:
• Outbound deliveries
• Picking
• Packing
• Staging
• Loading
• Goods Issue
• Wave Management
• Route and door determination
• Configure and support internal warehouse processes such as:
• Replenishment
• Posting changes
• Stock transfers
• Physical inventory
• Scrapping
• Ad hoc movements
• Support RF Framework, mobile warehouse transactions, and warehouse execution processes.
• Work with PP-EWM integration for production supply, staging, consumption, and finished goods receipt.
• Support integration between EWM and SAP TM for transportation planning and execution.
• Understand transportation-related processes such as:
• Freight Units
• Freight Orders
• Transportation Requirements
• Delivery-based transportation integration
• Loading and staging
• Transportation planning
• Carrier and shipment execution
• Collaborate with SAP TM consultants to resolve end-to-end warehouse and transportation integration issues.

Technical Responsibilities

• Perform SAP EWM-related ABAP debugging and technical troubleshooting.
• Develop and enhance:
• BAdIs
• User exits
• Enhancement spots
• Function modules
• Classes and methods
• Reports
• Interfaces
• Work with EWM RF Framework enhancements and custom RF transactions.
• Develop or support enhancements around:
• Warehouse Tasks
• Warehouse Orders
• Handling Units
• Deliveries
• Packing
• Picking
• Putaway
• Resource Management
• Analyze and troubleshoot queues and integration issues involving qRFC, PPF, IDocs, APIs, and interfaces.
• Support enhancements involving Fiori applications, CDS Views, OData services, and APIs, where applicable.
• Create technical and functional specifications for custom developments.
• Work closely with ABAP, integration, Basis, and functional teams.
• Perform root-cause analysis for complex production issues and implement permanent solutions.

SAP TM Knowledge

The candidate should have good functional knowledge of SAP Transportation Management, including:

• Integration between SAP EWM and TM
• Transportation planning and execution
• Freight Units
• Freight Orders
• Transportation requirements
• Carrier management
• Route planning
• Load planning
• Dock scheduling
• Staging and loading
• Shipment execution
• Delivery and transportation status synchronization
• EWM-TM integration scenarios in S/4HANA

Deep TM configuration expertise is not mandatory, but the consultant should be comfortable working across EWM/TM integrated processes and collaborating with TM functional teams.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of SAP experience with strong expertise in SAP EWM.
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Embedded EWM.
• Strong techno-functional experience combining EWM configuration with technical troubleshooting/development.
• At least one or more full lifecycle SAP S/4HANA EWM implementations or rollouts.

• Experience with BAdIs, enhancements, interfaces, and custom developments.
• Strong knowledge of EWM master data and organizational structures.
• Experience with testing, cutover, go-live, hypercare, and production support.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud / RISE with SAP.
• Strong knowledge of SAP TM and EWM-TM integration.
• Experience with automated warehouses, conveyors, robotics, ASRS, or third-party warehouse systems.
• Experience with Material Flow System (MFS) is a plus.
• Knowledge of Yard Management and Dock Appointment Scheduling.
• Experience with Fiori, CDS Views, OData, and modern S/4HANA development concepts.
• Experience in Food & Beverage, CPG, Manufacturing, Distribution, Retail, or Consumer Products industries.
• Experience supporting high-volume warehouse and distribution environments.
