Epicor Senior Technical Consultant

Auxilia Group Recruitment is hiring a Senior Technical Consultant on behalf of our client.

This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced Epicor ERP professional to join an established organisation in a senior technical capacity. Working closely with clients and internal teams, you will play a key role in designing, delivering and supporting ERP solutions that help businesses improve their operations and get the most from their systems.

This is a permanent, remote role for candidates based in the UK.

Regular travel to client sites throughout the UK is required as part of the role and occasional travel to Ireland may also be required from time to time, with all business travel expenses fully covered.

The successful candidate will combine strong technical expertise with a consultative approach, acting as a trusted advisor to clients. You'll take ownership of technical solution delivery and the development governance that supports it, working across implementations, upgrades, change requests and ongoing optimisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of Epicor ERP customisations, integrations and enhancements.
• Work directly with clients to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Design, develop and implement solutions that are scalable, reliable and easy to support.
• Produce high quality technical specifications, solution designs, estimates, deployment plans and project documentation.
• Developing solutions using Epicor Kinetic toolsets, BPMs, REST APIs, SQL, .NET and related
• technologies.
• Own, document, implement and continuously improve the end-to-end software development lifecycle, from approved specifications through development, peer review, testing, controlled release and support handover.
• Own and manage the ERP release management process, including release planning, approvals, version control, environment promotion, deployment documentation, dependency management, rollback procedures and audit traceability.
• Lead the implementation, configuration, administration and ongoing maintenance of GitHub as the organisation's source code repository and version control platform.
• Own and govern repository and version-control standards, ensuring all code and technical assets are securely managed, peer reviewed, version controlled and released in line with established development, testing and delivery processes.
• Provide expert troubleshooting and acting as the escalation point for complex technical issues.
• Deliver technical workstreams on time, within scope and to agreed quality standards.
• Work alongside functional consultants, developers and project managers on implementations, upgrades, integrations and optimisation programmes.
• Leading client-facing workshops, technical discussions, knowledge transfer and support handover activities.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' experience in an Epicor ERP Kinetic technical consulting role.
• Strong experience in Epicor ERP customisations, BPMs, REST APIs and SQL development.
• Strong technical experience with JSON, XML and .NET and related integration technologies.
• Proven ability to design, develop and deliver complex technical solutions.
• Demonstrable experience owning software development governance, source control and
• release management processes.
• Hands-on experience implementing, administering and maintaining GitHub repositories.
• Experience managing repository structures, branching strategies, pull requests, code reviews controls, permissions, versioning and release traceability.
• Ability to produce technical specifications, solution designs and supporting documentation.
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
• Experience estimating technical effort and managing delivery commitments.
• Strong stakeholder management and client-facing consulting experience.
• Experience leading, mentoring or supporting technical team members.
