Citizen services only work when identity, auditability, and peak load are treated as product requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement typed APIs and durable data models
• Partner with design on accessible, performant interfaces
• Write decision records and keep runbooks current
• Mentor engineers through thoughtful review
• Own production signals for what you ship

Required Skills

• Strong TypeScript and modern React/Next.js
• Relational modelling and SQL fluency
• Testing discipline (unit, integration, e2e where it pays)
• Clear written communication

Preferred Skills

• PostgreSQL at scale
• Azure or AWS delivery
• Public-sector or regulated domain experience

What success looks like

You ship vertical slices with tests, docs, and monitoring; architecture decisions are written down; teammates can extend your work without archaeology.
