AI & Data Applications Developer

A growing technology organisation is looking for an AI & Data Applications Developer to join its Business Applications team.

This is a hands-on development role focused on building AI-enabled applications, integrations and data solutions. You’ll work closely with developers, architects and technical leads to turn business requirements into practical, scalable solutions.

This would suit a software developer with strong SQL/database experience who is interested in applying AI to real-world business problems. This is not a data science or ML research role.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and support AI-enabled business applications.
• Develop APIs and integrations between AI platforms, applications and databases.
• Contribute to AI agents, workflows and AI-assisted processes.
• Design and maintain application databases and data models.
• Support data ingestion, integration, governance and security.
• Contribute to technical design, testing, deployment and optimisation.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years' software development experience.
• Strong SQL and relational database skills.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, SQL Server or similar.
• Experience with Python or another modern development language.
• Experience developing APIs and system integrations.
• Understanding of data modelling and application architecture.
• Experience with Azure or another major cloud platform.
• Git and modern software development practices.

Desirable

• AI application development.
• RAG and vector databases.
• AI agents/orchestration.
• Azure AI Foundry, Power Platform or Dataverse.
• Data governance and security.
