Senior Software Developer (m/f/d)

As the Product Development Team, we build tomorrow's eBusiness solutions — working closely with Product Management and our customers, in agile teams, with plenty of room for creative freedom. AI-assisted coding is part of how we work: we use modern AI tooling across the entire development lifecycle and shape the standards for it together. We don't just question our product, but also how we work — exploring new technologies and driving process improvements is part of the job, not a side project.

We're looking for a Senior Software Developer (m/f/d) to take holistic ownership of the components of one of our products.

• From system analysis and design to development, testing, and production support, you work across the full lifecycle of Kotlin- and Spring Boot-based services.
• You take ownership of your domain, shaping its architecture, APIs, data models, and long-term technical direction.
• You continuously identify opportunities to improve existing systems, reduce technical debt, and drive modernization efforts.
• You use AI-assisted development tools to support implementation, refactoring, testing, codebase exploration, and migration work, taking responsibility for the quality and reliability of everything that goes into production.
• Beyond using AI tools yourself, you help shape best practices, review standards, and secure ways of working across the team.
• Working closely with Product, Data, Ops, Security, and other stakeholders, you contribute to technical decisions and help turn ideas into scalable solutions.

Requirements

• You bring strong experience in building and running Java- or Kotlin-based backend services, including systems you've owned in production.
• You're comfortable working with the Spring Boot ecosystem and have applied it across multiple production systems.
• You've used AI-powered coding tools (Claude Code or comparable) in your day-to-day work and understand both their opportunities and limitations.
• You've built and operated microservices and have experience with messaging solutions such as ActiveMQ.
• You bring hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and strong database modeling skills.
• You're experienced with Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure.
