What You'll Do Day-to-Day:
- Manage and maintain Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Microsoft Teams, across multiple tenants.
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for Microsoft 365 incidents and service requests, serving as an escalation point for junior engineers and the Service Desk.
- Support hybrid and onpremises Exchange environments, including mailbox migrations to Exchange Online.
- Deploy and configure Microsoft 365 services in alignment with established governance and security standards.
- Build and maintain Teams governance, including automated team and channel provisioning, membership, sharing, meeting, and notification settings.
- Contribute to SharePoint intranet development, site management, and lifecycle processes.
- Implement and maintain email retention, DLP, and compliance policies in accordance with approved designs.
- Configure and maintain Conditional Access, MFA, Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Defender for Office 365, and Exchange Online Protection.
- Design and maintain Power Automate workflows and PowerShell/Microsoft Graph automation to streamline processes and reduce manual effort.
- Develop standardized provisioning, cleanup, and administrative processes across Microsoft 365 services.
- Support licensing optimization and personabased license assignment models.
- Partner with Information Security to establish and maintain Teams and SharePoint sharing governance.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge articles.
- Partner with IT and business teams to validate functionality, resolve issues, and drive adoption of Microsoft 365 solutions.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange Online, hybrid/onpremises Exchange, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive.
- Handson experience administering Microsoft Entra ID, including Conditional Access, MFA, SSO, enterprise applications, and security baselines.
- Practical experience managing mail flow, connectors, transport rules, message tracing, email hygiene, journaling, and retention.
- Experience developing and supporting automation using Power Automate, PowerShell, and/or Microsoft Graph for administration and reporting.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Purview, including retention, eDiscovery, and DLP, as well as Microsoft Defender for Office 365 and Exchange Online Protection
- Experience administering and governing Microsoft Teams, including channels, meetings, voice basics, policies, and provisioning.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and crossfunctional collaboration skills.
- Demonstrated experience administering or engineering Microsoft 365 environments in a professional setting.
- An Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred; equivalent handson industry experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications or training are preferred, such as Microsoft 365 Administrator, Teams Administrator, SharePoint Administrator, Messaging Administrator, or related Microsoft cloud and collaboration technologies.
- Capability for sedentary work, including sitting for long periods and occasionally exerting up to 25 pounds of force.
- This is a remote position with occasional travel to Xtensys, customer, or healthcare partner locations based on business needs, generally up to 10%.
- Occasional afterhours or weekend support may be required for scheduled maintenance, system validation, incident response, or participation in an oncall rotation, based on business needs.
