Technical Solution Architect - Stockholm

The organisation

We are working with a well-established Stockholm organisation whose work carries genuine societal impact - something the people there really believe in and that sets it apart from a typical commercial environment. The work is Sweden-focused but internationally connected, with close collaboration alongside equivalent bodies abroad.

They're in the middle of a significant digitalisation drive, which makes it a strong time to join on the technology side - there's real momentum behind modernising how they build and deliver their platforms, and Sweden is something of a European frontrunner in this space.

The role

This is a senior Solution Architect position with a genuine holistic remit, working across both ongoing operations and new development. You'll start by getting to grips with the full landscape, then take ownership of coordinating and guiding architecture decisions across the organisation's digital initiatives.

Day to day, you will:

• Oversee and align multiple parallel initiatives - including a new website build, a legacy site decommission, and an AI-powered API portal
• Ensure everything fits into a cohesive, MACH-oriented architecture built on microservices and cloud
• Work closely with the Tech Lead and a development team of around 15, providing strategic direction rather than writing the code yourself
• Drive architecture governance, including leading an architecture council
• Support the shift toward a 24/7, service-oriented platform business
• Contribute to decisions involving AI, APIs, Azure and modern microservices

Technical environment

.NET, Azure Cloud, Azure DevOps, SQL Server and REST APIs, moving toward a MACH-oriented microservices setup.

What we're looking for

• Several years in a technical/solution architect role - or at minimum a genuine 50/50 development-and-architecture role over several years
• Experience with, or a strong interest in, AI
• Experience with, or interest in, microservices architecture (beneficial rather than essential)
• Fluent Swedish
