Your day at NTT DATA

As an Offshoring Software Solution Architect at NTTDATA, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering high-impact software solutions for global clients. You’ll be the technical lead in offshoring engagements, responsible for architecting scalable, secure, and maintainable systems that meet diverse business needs across industries.

You’ll collaborate closely with internal development teams and external stakeholders to design end-to-end software architectures, leveraging modern technologies such as Java, microservices, cloud platforms, and CI/CD pipelines. Your expertise will guide the full lifecycle—from pre-sales and solutioning to implementation and post-delivery optimization.

In this role, you’ll analyze client requirements, propose tailored technical strategies, and ensure that solutions are aligned with both business goals and delivery capabilities. You’ll also contribute to proposal development, client workshops, and architecture validation, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the engagement.

Your day will involve evaluating technology stacks, recommending best-fit frameworks, and ensuring that offshoring delivery models are efficient, cost-effective, and future-ready. You’ll stay ahead of emerging software trends and continuously improve internal methodologies and solution standards.

You’ll also mentor development teams, promote engineering excellence, and help build a strong foundation for scalable software delivery across borders.

To Thrive in This Role, You Should Have:

• Proven experience in Java development and delivering offshoring software projects for global clients.
• Strong background in software architecture, including system design, integration, and performance optimization.
• Experience working in global IT service organizations, especially in offshoring or outsourcing environments.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), microservices, and DevOps practices.
• Hands-on experience in pre-sales, solutioning, and technical proposal development.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders across geographies.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking, with the ability to perform cost-benefit analysis and recommend optimal technical approaches.
• Experience managing development teams and mentoring engineers.
• Proficiency in English or Japanese is a strong advantage.
