Technical Architect – Capital Markets
Location: Halifax
Key Responsibilities:
• Define solution architecture, system landscapes, integration patterns, and target-state designs
• Identify gaps between current and future-state architectures
• Lead enterprise solutions from technical discovery and detailed design through testing and production deployment
• Architect cloud, microservices, API, data integration, and AI-driven solutions
• Design integrations involving Box, document-management platforms, and other third-party systems
• Demonstrate Box capabilities, including security, compliance, AI, APIs, and enterprise integrations
• Build prototypes and proofs of concept
• Prepare technical specifications, architecture documents, project scopes, statements of work, and solution playbooks
• Provide technical direction, mentor development teams, and collaborate with business, security, infrastructure, and product stakeholders
Required Experience:
• 10 years in software engineering, solution architecture, or technical architecture
• 5–7 years within banking, Capital Markets, or financial services
• Experience with large-scale enterprise platforms, distributed systems, microservices, and integrations
• Hands-on experience with third-party platforms or document-management solutions
• Strong knowledge of Python, TypeScript, Node.js, MongoDB, REST APIs, and JSON
• Experience with Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub, Linux, Windows, and DevOps
• Knowledge of SSO, EMM, BYOK, data masking, DLP, and security architecture
• Experience with on-premises-to-cloud and cloud-to-cloud integrations
• Understanding of data architecture, data fabric, and data mesh concepts
• Excellent English communication and stakeholder-management skills
Nice to Have:
• AWS, Azure, or GCP certification
• Experience influencing architecture decisions across multiple business units
