About the role

Key Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the global network and network security architecture across LAN, WAN, WLAN, Data Center, Cloud and SD-WAN environments.
• Design scalable, secure and resilient network solutions using Fortinet and Cisco technologies.
• Establish architecture standards, roadmaps, segmentation strategies, high availability and disaster recovery frameworks.
• Act as Network Design Authority for major projects, infrastructure changes and technical reviews.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to Network Engineering and Operations teams.
• Collaborate with Security, Infrastructure, Application and Business teams to deliver network transformation initiatives.
• Support complex troubleshooting, major incident management and root cause analysis from an architectural perspective.
• Ensure network solutions align with security, compliance and business requirements.

Job Requirements

Essential Skills

• Strong experience in enterprise network architecture, preferably within global or manufacturing environments.
• Expert knowledge of Fortinet solutions including FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiEMS, FortiClient and FortiAuthenticator.
• Strong experience with Cisco switching, wireless LAN controllers and access point technologies.
• Deep understanding of routing, switching and security concepts including BGP, VLANs, ACLs, VPNs, SD-WAN, NAT, IPS/IDS and Zero Trust principles.
• Experience with network monitoring and management tools such as SolarWinds.
• Strong knowledge of cloud networking concepts, particularly Microsoft Azure Networking.
• Good understanding of Active Directory, DNS and DHCP.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and documentation skills.

Nice to Have Skills

• Network automation, scripting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• F5 technologies.
• TOGAF Architecture Framework.
• ITIL and COBIT methodologies.
• ServiceNow experience.
• Project Management experience.
• Experience supporting large-scale network transformation or segmentation programmes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• Fortinet NSE 5/7 (or equivalent) preferred.
• Cisco CCNP (or higher) preferred.
