We are seeking an experienced Murex Solution Architect to lead the solution design and architecture for a greenfield Murex implementation. The role will be responsible for defining the target-state architecture, shaping the front-to-back solution, and ensuring that Murex is implemented in line with business, technology, risk, operations and regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate will work closely with Front Office, Risk, Finance, Operations, Technology, Data, Integration, Testing and Infrastructure teams to design a scalable and robust Murex platform. This will include ownership of the overall solution blueprint, operating model, system architecture, integration approach, data flows, environment strategy, migration principles and delivery governance across the implementation lifecycle.

Requirements:

• Strong experience as a Murex Solution Architect, Lead Consultant or Senior Murex SME on large-scale Murex implementation programmes.
• Previous experience delivering a greenfield Murex implementation or major front-to-back Murex transformation.
• Strong understanding of Murex MX.3 architecture, front-to-back processing and core Murex modules.
• Hands-on experience across several of the following areas: Front Office, Risk, Back Office, Accounting, Collateral, Market Data, MxML, Datamart, Reporting, Workflows, Interfaces and EOD processing.
• Strong understanding of capital markets trade lifecycle processes across trade capture, pricing, risk, confirmations, settlements, accounting, reporting and reconciliation.
• Experience defining integration architecture between Murex and upstream / downstream systems.
• Strong knowledge of MxML Exchange, interface design, workflow design, data mapping and batch feeds.
• Experience with Datamart, reporting architecture, data extraction and downstream reporting.
• Strong understanding of market data, static data, reference data and curve setup within Murex.
• Experience supporting migration, cutover, reconciliation and go-live planning.
• Ability to work with senior stakeholders across business, technology, risk, finance and operations.
• Strong design governance, documentation, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end solution architecture for a greenfield Murex MX.3 implementation.
• Define the overall target-state Murex architecture, including front-to-back process design, system landscape, integration model and data flow architecture.
• Translate business requirements into a clear Murex solution blueprint across business, technology, risk, operations and reporting workstreams.
• Own architectural decisions across Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office, Risk, Finance, Collateral, Market Data, Datamart, Reporting and Integration.
• Design scalable front-to-back workflows covering trade capture, validation, pricing, risk, confirmations, settlements, accounting, reporting and downstream feeds.
• Define the integration architecture between Murex and upstream / downstream systems, including trading platforms, market data providers, risk engines, finance platforms, settlement systems, data warehouses and reporting platforms.
• Review and validate functional and technical designs produced by workstream leads, business analysts, developers and integration teams.
• Provide architectural guidance across MxML, Datamart, workflows, interfaces, batch, EOD, market data, static data and reporting.
• Support product and module design across relevant asset classes, including Rates, FX, Credit, Fixed Income, Commodities, Equities or Securities Finance.
• Define principles for static data, reference data, market data, trade data and reporting data setup.
• Support the environment strategy, including DEV, SIT, UAT, pre-production, production, disaster recovery and deployment governance.
• Work with infrastructure and DevOps teams on Murex platform architecture, performance, resilience, release management and deployment strategy.
• Support data migration strategy, including source system analysis, data mapping, transformation rules, reconciliation approach and cutover planning.
• Provide architectural input into test strategy, including SIT, UAT, regression testing, performance testing, parallel runs and go-live readiness.
• Identify architectural risks, design gaps and delivery dependencies, escalating issues with clear recommendations.
• Act as the senior Murex design authority throughout implementation, testing, migration, cutover and post-go-live stabilisation.
