The Network Architect is responsible for defining, architecting, and advancing NEP’s network, connectivity, and transmission strategy across all Connected Solutions facilities and customer deployments. This role provides technical leadership for IP-based workflows and inter-facility connectivity that enable scalable, resilient, and future-ready production, playout, and distribution services.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, and evolution of IP-based, WAN network architecture across all Connected Solutions hubs.
  • Architect resilient, scalable, and secure network designs supporting 2110 workflows and hybrid delivery models.
  • Design and own WAN Layer architecture, and identify network enhancements and efficiencies.
  • Identify and develop transmission related opportunities for transmission and network connectivity services.
  • Establish and maintain technical standards and best practices for connectivity and transmission.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Transmission, Sales, and Operations teams.
  • Support customer-facing solution design and technical connectivity proposal development.
  • Provide technical oversight for complex connectivity and transmission deployments and new customer opportunities.
  • Identify and evaluate emerging technologies related to IP networking, connectivity, transmission, and broadcast infrastructure.
  • Serve as a senior technical advisor and mentor within Connected Solutions.
  • Work and manage our relationships with third party carriers like AT&T, The Switch, Lumen, Tata, Telstra and others

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field or equivalent experience.
  • 8–10 years of experience in broadcast or network engineering with IP-based workflows.
  • Expertise in 2110 networking, contribution and distribution workflows.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
