Mid/Senior Backend Developer (PHP 8+, Laravel 12+, PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ)

About the Role

We are looking for a Mid/Senior Backend Developer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will build, and maintain high-throughput backend services, complex APIs, and asynchronous data pipelines. Our architecture heavily relies on distributed messaging, efficient caching strategies, and relational database optimization.

Key Responsibilities

- API & System Architecture:Architect, build, and maintain secure, high-performance RESTful APIs and microservices using PHP 8+ and Laravel 12+.

- Asynchronous Processing: Design and manage event-driven architectures and message queues using **RabbitMQ** to handle background jobs, data ingestion, and system integration tasks.

- Database Management: Write complex SQL, optimize queries, design efficient relational schemas, and manage migrations using **PostgreSQL**.

- Performance Tuning: Implement robust caching protocols, session management, and pub/sub patterns using **Redis** to minimize database load and lower response latencies.

- Code Quality & Testing: Write clean, modular, and maintainable code adhering to SOLID principles. Maintain high test coverage using PHPUnit/Pest.

- DevOps & Monitoring: Participate in application monitoring, performance tuning, CI/CD pipeline improvements, and system reliability debugging.

Required Qualifications

- PHP & Laravel: 3+ years of professional experience with modern PHP and deep framework knowledge of Laravel (v10+ required, v12+ preferred).

- Database Expertise: Proficiency with PostgreSQL, including performance tuning, indexing strategies, query execution plans, and transaction management.

- Message Brokers:Hands-on experience integrating and managing **RabbitMQ** (or similar AMQP brokers) for distributed queue management and event-driven architecture.

- Caching Technologies:Experience working with **Redis** for caching, rate limiting, and queue/state management.

- Software Architecture: Understanding of domain-driven design, design patterns, OOP, and REST API standards.

- Version Control & Workflows: Proficient with Git, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.

Nice-to-Haves

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and container orchestration.
