Your Role on the Team
Position Summary
Incumbent creates high quality solution designs which address all architectural concerns including business, information, application, and infrastructure. Designs architecture which will align with business blueprints, delivery constraints, enterprise business services, enterprise framework services, and infrastructure standards. Delivers design solutions that promote flexibility, scalability, and high-performance.

What It Takes to be Successful
- Understanding of mapping data from systems outside an EMR/Epic, such as third party vendors and/or large file uploads into IT-supported systems, including Epic
- Previous project management / lead experience
- Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
- Must be willing and able to work occasional weekends and evenings as needed
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Demonstrated organizational and project management skills
- Demonstrated experience of integrating applications across the Epic EHR ecosystem
- Demonstrated ability in determining how technology can be applied to meet business needs
- Broad knowledge of business process including disaster recovery, business continuity and risk management
- Bachelors degree in related area and/or equivalent experience and training
- Ability to take creative and abstract concepts and produce a solid application framework
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System, School of Medicine, UCI Research Administration and other UC System campuses
- Ability to discover and define technical requirements and their relationship to functional requirements and to determine the adequacy of documented requirements for architecture definition
- Ability to design and manage high-level projects and development of end-to-end processes
- 7 plus years experience architecting, developing, deploying, and supporting complex computing applications in a medium to large scale environment, or equivalent experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
- Master’s Degree in a technical or business discipline
- Knowledge of University and Medical Center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
- Experience working in an academic hospital IT department
