Job Summary

Seidel Schroeder is seeking a skilled and innovative Software Developer to design, develop, implement, and manage custom software applications that support business operations and strategic initiatives. The developer will manage solutions throughout the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and solution design through development, testing, integration, deployment, documentation, maintenance, enhancement, and support.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance custom software applications.
• Manage the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, deployment, documentation, maintenance, and ongoing support.
• Work with external stakeholders to understand business processes, define requirements, establish priorities, and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Implement, configure, and deploy software solutions in various operating environments, coordinating testing, rollout, training, and handoff activities as needed.
• Manage deployed applications, including updates, enhancements, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
• Communicate with external stakeholders regarding requirements, implementation plans, project status, technical issues, application updates, and ongoing development needs.
• Develop and maintain integrations between custom applications and third-party systems, APIs, cloud platforms, databases, and business applications.
• Build scalable web-based, cloud-based, and desktop applications using modern development frameworks and technologies
• Integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities into new and existing applications where appropriate.
• Develop and maintain database solutions, including SQL databases, data structures, queries, stored procedures, and related services.
• Design and optimize database architecture, queries, integrations, and application performance.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve application, integration, database, and system issues.
• Participate in software architecture decisions, technical planning, code reviews, security practices, and development standards.
• Maintain source code, technical specifications, application documentation, deployment procedures, support records, and system configurations.
• Assist with application hosting, cloud infrastructure, access management, security, and other technical components associated with deployed solutions.
• Research and evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities for automation, workflow improvement, system integration, and new software services.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in IT services.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States of America.
• Strong knowledge of SQL databases, database design, administration, and query optimization.
• Proficiency in React, C#, and JavaScript.
• Experience developing custom business applications from concept through deployment.
• Experience integrating AI technologies and services into software applications.
• Knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices.
• Experience with source control systems such as Git.
• Understanding of API development and system integrations.
