Pre-Sales & Technical Delivery, Digital Principal
Indexed description
This opportunity is for someone who doesn't want to choose between shaping deals and shipping outcomes. You'll spend roughly half your time as the technical architect behind the sale — partnering with sales to qualify opportunities, design solutions, and turn conversations into signed engagements. The other half, you'll be the one leading delivery of that same work, owning the architecture and technical direction from kickoff to outcome.
You'll operate as a trusted advisor to client executives and as the technical anchor internal teams rely on — someone who can walk into a room with a CIO in the morning and be in the weeds on architecture with a delivery team in the afternoon. If you've spent your career going deep across data, cloud, platform engineering, software engineering, and QA, and you're energized by both the "win the deal" and the "deliver the outcome" halves of that equation, this role was built around exactly that combination.
Responsibilities include:
Technical Pre-Sales
- Partner with sales and business development to qualify opportunities, shape solution direction, and move leads to closed-won
- Lead technical discovery, requirements gathering, and solution design across data, cloud, platform, software, and QA domains
- Author and own Statements of Work, including scope, assumptions, estimates, staffing, and risk framing
- Present solution approaches and architecture to client stakeholders, from practitioners to executives
- Develop proposals, estimates, and pricing in partnership with delivery and practice leadership
- Follow internal sales process, approvals, and governance from opportunity through signature
- Build reusable assets — reference architectures, accelerators, proposal collateral — that speed up future pursuits
Delivery Leadership
- Lead engagement delivery as an engagement lead or embedded subject matter expert
- Own solution architecture and technical direction across the engagement lifecycle
- Guide delivery teams on design decisions, standards, and quality across all technology domains
- Manage scope, technical risk, and stakeholder expectations against the signed SOW
- Serve as the escalation point for architecture and delivery challenges
- Ensure engagements deliver against committed outcomes and set up healthy client relationships and follow-on work
- Bring hands-on AI experience to real client use cases, building AI accelerators for both client delivery and internal enablement
- Apply practical GenAI and agentic AI experience, ideally with AWS/Azure platform depth
Advisory and Alignment
- Act as a trusted advisor to client technical and executive leadership
- Translate business objectives into architecture, technology, and delivery strategy
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Contribute to practice growth through mentoring, capability building, and partner ecosystem development
What You Bring
- 10+ years across enterprise technology roles spanning multiple domains — software engineering and development and cloud.
- Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect or Solution Architect in a consulting environment
- A demonstrated technical pre-sales track record — shaping opportunities and converting leads into closed business
- Hands-on experience authoring SOWs, scoping, estimating, and navigating a structured sales process
- Broad architecture depth across cloud platforms, modern data platforms, application and platform engineering, and quality engineering
- Experience leading delivery of complex, multi-workstream engagements as an engagement lead or SME
- Demonstrated hands-on AI experience — solving specific client use cases and building AI accelerators for both client-facing and internal use
- Strong executive presence and the ability to build trust quickly with senior client stakeholders
- Excellent communication and stakeholder alignment skills across technical and business audiences

Why This Role?
Most roles ask you to pick a lane — pre-sales or delivery, architecture or execution, client-facing or hands-on. This one is built for someone who's genuinely good at both and doesn't want to give either up. You'll shape the deals you then go deliver, see the direct line between the solutions you architect and the outcomes clients actually get, and operate with real autonomy across the full technology stack — all while building the kind of trusted-advisor relationships that turn into repeat business and a growing practice.
