About Us

Autolink is a global automotive Tier 1 technology company specializing in intelligent cockpit, IVI, and domain controller platforms. As part of our European expansion strategy, we are establishing a new R&D center in Bucharest to support leading European OEM programs and accelerate the development of next-generation cockpit solutions.

We are looking for a Solution Architect / Principal Solution Engineer with strong technical expertise and excellent communication skills to join our growing European team.

This role is ideal for an experienced automotive system engineer who enjoys customer engagement, technical consulting, solution design, and cross-functional collaboration in an international environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technical discussions with European OEM customers and engineering partners.
  • Analyze customer Statements of Requirements (SORs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and Requests for Quotation (RFQs).
  • Translate customer requirements into system concepts, technical proposals, and high-level architectures.
  • Define functional decomposition, hardware–software boundaries, key interfaces, data flows, assumptions, dependencies, and technical risks.
  • Design and present intelligent cockpit, IVI, HMI, and domain controller solutions covering both software and hardware.
  • Prepare architecture diagrams, compliance matrices, technical presentations, and customer-facing solution materials.
  • Coordinate with software, hardware, system, product, and program teams in Europe and China.
  • Support presales activities, technical workshops, system integration, customer demonstrations, and solution reviews.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Embedded Systems, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of automotive product-development experience within an OEM, Tier 1 supplier, semiconductor company, or automotive engineering service provider.
  • Experience with automotive cockpit, IVI, HMI, connectivity, telematics, gateway, or domain controller products.
  • Participation in at least one automotive project from development through Start of Production (SOP).
  • Strong system-level understanding of automotive hardware and software integration.
  • Practical experience in at least three of the following:
  • Requirements analysis
  • System or software architecture
  • Functional decomposition
  • Interface definition
  • Hardware–software integration
  • Cross-domain root-cause analysis
  • Technical solution or RFQ preparation
  • OEM customer communication
  • Ability to clearly define technical assumptions, platform limitations, interfaces, dependencies, risks, and ownership boundaries.
  • Fluent professional English with the ability to independently lead or support technical meetings and presentations.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.


Technical Qualifications

Strong understanding of intelligent cockpit and automotive electronic architectures, including:

Good system-level understanding of several of the following:

  • System-on-Chip (SoC) and Microcontroller Unit (MCU) platforms
  • Controller Area Network (CAN), Controller Area Network Flexible Data-Rate (CAN FD), and Automotive Ethernet
  • Video, display, camera, audio, and power-management concepts
  • Board Support Package (BSP), middleware, and application frameworks
  • Embedded Linux, Android Automotive, or QNX
  • Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL), device drivers, and hardware–software integration
  • Unified Modeling Language (UML), Systems Modeling Language (SysML), Automotive SPICE (ASPICE), or V-model development


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with European OEMs or global Tier 1 suppliers.
  • Familiarity with intelligent cockpit, IVI, or domain controller platforms.
  • Experience preparing customer-facing SOR, RFI, or RFQ technical solutions.
  • Knowledge of AUTomotive Open System ARchitecture (AUTOSAR) and AUTOSAR XML (ARXML).
  • Experience with Enterprise Architect, IBM Rhapsody, or Cameo.
  • German, French language skills are helpful but not required.

Candidates should be willing to work full-time from our Bucharest R&D Center and participate in customer meetings and technical workshops as required.
