Reporting to the Enterprise Architect, the Solutions Architect will play a key role in delivering the Transport for London Video Management System (TVMS) programme. You'll define the end-to-end solution architecture, working with technical teams, customers and delivery partners to ensure the solution is secure, scalable, resilient and aligned to business and technical requirements.
This is a hybrid working role, with a requirement to travel to our Warwick and London offices.
What You’ll Do:
- Define and own the end-to-end solution architecture for the TVMS programme, ensuring alignment with customer and business requirements.
- Lead technical workshops with customers and stakeholders, providing consultancy and developing solution options to meet operational needs.
- Produce high-quality solution designs, technical specifications, architecture documentation and supporting bid or project documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, suppliers and technology partners to ensure integrated, secure and scalable solutions.
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies and vendor solutions, driving innovation and continuous improvement.
- Provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, supporting governance, risk management, testing and deployment.
- Build strong relationships with customers, partners and internal teams, presenting technical solutions and providing expert guidance where required
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Solutions Architect delivering large scale systems integration or enterprise technology programmes.
- Experience with CCTV or Video Management Systems (VMS) is essential
- Experience engaging with customers to develop technical solutions, lead workshops and present architectural designs.
- Strong understanding of solution architecture across applications, infrastructure, networking and security.
- Ability to produce high-quality architecture documentation, technical specifications and solution designs.
- Transferable solution architecture experience from sectors such as transport, operational technology (OT), telecommunications, defence, utilities or physical security is desirable
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience collaborating across customers, suppliers and multidisciplinary delivery teams.
