About the Role


The Manufacturing Business Architect serves as the lead authority for our U.S. operations with specific expertise in the Dassault DELMIA Apriso platform. This pivotal role involves functioning at an architect level for all Center of Excellence (COE) activities related to everything manufacturing, shaping its strategic direction, and ensuring flawless execution across multiple manufacturing systems and integrations.


As a key member of the IT team, the Manufacturing Business Architect will not only be responsible for the deployment and ongoing enhancement of the DELMIA Apriso system but will also play a vital role in the integration of diverse operational technologies including factory management, building management, Artificial Intelligence, and large-scale data analytics. The specialist will liaise between multiple internal departments and our global teams, ensuring system harmonization, operational excellence, and strategic alignment with our organizational goals.


This position reports to the Sr. IT Manager.


Key Responsibilities


1. Leadership and Strategy

  • Serve as the lead for Manufacturing Execution Systems, specifically focusing on Dassault DELMIA Apriso.
  • Participate at an architect level for all COE functions related to DELMIA Apriso, formulating and implementing best practices across departments.
  • Establish common MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) standards, templates, interfaces, master data structures & deployment methodologies.
  • Responsible for MES uptime, business continuity, backup/recovery, performance, and production-impacting incident escalation.
  • Will support new line commissioning, MES qualifications, ramp up & handover to the plant operations.

2. System Development and Deployment

  • Lead the planning, design, configuration, and deployment of the Dassault DELMIA Apriso Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
  • Conduct gap analysis between existing systems and DELMIA Apriso ensuring full functional coverage and system integrity.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration.
  • Engage closely with factory and building management teams to harmonize systems and data flow, ensuring efficient and streamlined operations.
  • Collaborate with IT, data science, and other relevant departments to integrate Artificial Intelligence and big data analytics into the DELMIA Apriso system for advanced functionalities like predictive maintenance and quality control.


3. Training and Documentation

  • Develop comprehensive training programs and manuals to onboard new team members and keep existing staff updated on DELMIA Apriso system modifications.


4. Traceability and Compliance

  • Implement and monitor robust traceability measures within DELMIA Apriso, ensuring all manufactured items are in compliance with internal quality standards and external regulations.


5. Integration

  • Oversee SAP integration projects, ensuring seamless data flow between SAP and DELMIA Apriso for financial, logistical, and operational needs.
  • Work on integration with PLC/SCADA, equipment controls, historians, quality systems & warehouse/logistics systems (IT/OT integration).

6. Technical Support and Troubleshooting

  • Lead root-cause analysis for any DELMIA Apriso system issues, liaising with vendors and internal IT teams for prompt resolution.

7. Reporting and Analytics

  • Generate routine and ad-hoc reports to track system performance metrics, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and KPIs.


8. All other duties as assigned.

  • Performs other duties as assigned to support the evolving needs of the team and organization.


Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of work experience in Manufacturing Execution Systems, with a specific focus on Dassault DELMIA Apriso.
  • At least years of experience in factory and building management systems.
  • Proven expertise in handling large datasets and utilizing Artificial Intelligence in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong background in system traceability measures and methodologies.
  • Prior experience in SAP integration, PLC/SCDA and Warehouse / Logistics systems.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills.
  • Excellent executive communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Understands and follows all standards of ISO 9001 quality standards. (Training and awareness will be provided for those who are not familiar with these standards)

Travel


Occasional domestic travel required.
