The Power Platform Functional Architect is responsible for leading the functional design, solution shaping and delivery of grants and funding management solutions built on the Microsoft Power Platform.
This senior role collaborates closely with clients, architects, and delivery teams to translate business needs into scalable, platform‑aligned solutions, with a strong focus on standard configuration, integration patterns and targeted customisation where required.
The role also supports opportunity shaping, client workshops, and end‑to‑end delivery across the grants management lifecycle.

Solution Design & Functional Leadership
- Lead functional design and fit‑gap analysis for grants and funding solutions on the Power Platform.
- Define future‑state business processes, user journeys, and end‑to‑end solution flows.
- Translate business requirements into functional designs, user stories, and delivery backlogs.
- Provide functional leadership across various SDLC phase - build, test, and UAT etc. to ensure quality outcomes.
- Design end‑to‑end grants lifecycle solutions covering applications, assessments, approvals, awards, claims, and reporting.
- Design and review external portal experiences using Power Pages for applicant and grantee journeys.
- Ensure solutions meet public sector, compliance, accessibility, and user experience expectations.
- Facilitate and lead client workshops, walkthroughs, and design sessions.
- Collaborate closely with architects and delivery teams to ensure solutions are feasible, scalable, and aligned to platform best practices.
- Act as the functional point of contact for clients throughout delivery.
- Support pursuits, proposals, opportunity, and business development activities.
- Contribute to solution positioning, scope definition, and estimations from a functional perspective.
- Great to have strong experience in grants management or public sector delivery, but not essential.
- Experience delivering grants management solutions is desirable, but not mandatory.

- Proven experience in fit‑gap analysis, solution design, and stakeholder workshops.
- High‑level understanding of Azure integration services & patterns, including APIs, middleware and event‑based integrations to support connected solutions.
- ERP integration experience (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Dynamics) for financials and payments.
- Experience in consulting or advisory environments.
- Exposure to government or other regulated industries.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills.
- Ability to translate complex business needs into practical, platform‑aligned solutions.
- Commercial awareness with experience supporting opportunities and delivery.
