Lead Solutions Architect — Core Banking Transformation

📍 Manila, Philippines | Full-time | On-site/Hybrid

A leading bank in the Philippines is undergoing a major core banking transformation and is looking for a Lead Solutions Architect to own the end-to-end solution design across the programme — spanning Core Banking, Cards, and Lending.

This is a senior, highly visible mandate: you'll be the technical anchor translating business and regulatory requirements into a coherent architecture that the bank will run on for the next decade, working directly with C-suite stakeholders, vendor partners, and delivery teams across the migration lifecycle.

The Role

As Lead Solutions Architect, you will take ownership of solution design across one of the bank's largest and most strategically important technology programmes. You'll shape the target architecture for the core banking platform migration, ensure Cards and Lending capabilities are properly integrated into the new environment, and act as the senior technical authority reconciling business needs, regulatory requirements, and platform constraints into a design that actually ships.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading end-to-end solution architecture across the core banking migration, including integration with Cards and Lending platforms
• Translating business, product, and regulatory requirements into detailed, implementable solution designs
• Acting as the primary technical point of accountability across vendors, systems integrators, and internal engineering teams
• Identifying and resolving architectural risks, dependencies, and trade-offs across a multi-workstream migration programme
• Providing technical leadership and mentorship to a team of architects and senior engineers
• Presenting architecture decisions and programme risk to senior stakeholders, including technology and business leadership
• Ensuring designs meet the bank's security, resiliency, scalability, and regulatory obligations (BSP and related standards)

What You'll Bring

• 15+ years of experience in solutions architecture within banking or financial services, with demonstrable exposure to core banking platforms
• Direct experience with Cards and/or Lending systems and their integration into a core banking environment
• Proven experience leading architecture through a large-scale core banking migration or transformation programme, ideally end-to-end
• Strong leadership experience — you've led architects/engineers and been the senior technical voice in the room, not just a contributor to one
• Deep domain knowledge of core banking architecture patterns, integration approaches, and the practical realities of migrating a live bank off a legacy platform
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, comfortable operating at both engineering depth and executive-summary altitude
• Based in or willing to relocate to Manila
