Overview
Our customer is seeing a Staff Software Engineer to build and evolve core enterprise systems while providing technical leadership across globally distributed teams. This role combines architecture, software development, mentoring, and operational ownership to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead development teams in delivering complex software projects on time and within budget.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to engineering teams.
- Design and develop technology solutions that meet business requirements and long-term strategic objectives.
- Take technical responsibility throughout all phases of the software development lifecycle.
- Provide architectural leadership and technical direction to project stakeholders.
- Collaborate across teams to develop scalable and innovative software solutions.
- Drive best practices related to architecture, performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Support engineering excellence through technical reviews, problem-solving, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to define and deliver product features and technical designs.
- All other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise software development environments.
- Strong experience developing API and middle-tier applications using ASP.NET Core and C#.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft .NET, ASP.NET MVC, APIs, and ASP.NET Core technologies.
- Significant AWS cloud development experience, including:
API Gateway
Lambda
EC2
ECS
SQS
SNS
Fargate
DynamoDB
AuroraDB
- Expert-level knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, data structures, scalability, and reliability principles.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and multithreaded application development.
- Experience with concurrency control and performance optimisation.
- Strong database design and data modelling experience.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated technical leadership experience on software development projects.
- Ability to work across multiple initiatives and technologies simultaneously.
- Strong communication, planning, and collaboration skills.
- Experience working effectively with distributed and cross-functional teams.
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
