We’re looking for a Software Engineering II professional who thrives in technical leadership and system‑level thinking, and who’s excited to build scalable, enterprise‑grade platforms that power customer care and GenAI‑driven innovation at Walmart.

What you’ll do

Technical Leadership & System Architecture

• Drive architecture, design, and development of scalable, highly available

systems at enterprise scale.

• Lead implementation of complex systems while remaining hands-on in

prototyping and coding.

• Make architectural trade-o?s balancing long-term scalability with shortterm delivery needs.

• Ensure operational and engineering excellence through CI/CD and reliability

practices.

AI & Enterprise Platform Innovation

• Apply GenAI and distributed systems expertise to build scalable customerfacing solutions.

• Champion best practices in service-oriented architecture, system

resilience, and enterprise integration.

• Collaborate with teams to deliver frictionless and high-impact customer

experiences.

Cross-Functional & Organizational Influence

• Collaborate with product, business, and UX partners to align technical

solutions with long-term business objectives.

• Participate in architectural discussions, operational reviews, and

troubleshooting sessions.

• Drive consensus, resolve conflicts, and influence technical direction.

Mentorship & Technical Excellence

• Mentor engineers and contribute to growing technical depth across teams.

• Advocate for engineering best practices and continuous improvement.

• Promote scalable design principles and long-term architectural health

What you’ll bring

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Strong expertise in Java, React, distributed systems, and CI/CD.
• Experience designing and delivering enterprise‑scale solutions, including GenAI systems.
• Proven ability to solve complex business problems through scalable architecture.
• Passion for engineering excellence, mentorship, and continuous improvement.
• Experience building accessible digital experiences (WCAG 2.2 AA is a plus).
• Fluent English required.
