# Sr Associate, Software Engineer


## About the Role


L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Sr Associate, Software Engineer for its Salt Lake City, Utah location. This is a new graduate opportunity focused on developing and testing embedded software for real-time control and advanced tactical radio equipment.


The role provides hands-on experience across the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, software design, implementation, hardware/software integration, testing, debugging, and defect resolution. You will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical principles to embedded and platform-based systems.


## Key Responsibilities


* Apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical concepts to software development for target applications.

* Develop and test embedded software for real-time control of advanced tactical radio equipment.

* Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams on hardware/software interfaces, operational performance requirements, and overall system design.

* Support all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and testing.

* Develop software test procedures, programs, and related technical documentation.

* Use modeling tools and equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate results.

* Participate in peer reviews.

* Identify, track, debug, and repair software defects.

* Develop and evaluate software solutions across embedded and platform-based environments.

* Work with multiple programming languages, operating systems, and embedded real-time operating systems.


## Required Qualifications


* Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in:


* Computer Science.

* Computer Engineering.

* Software Engineering.

* Electrical Engineering.

* Information Security.

* A related field.

* Alternatively, completed a qualifying Master’s degree within the last 12 months.

* Ability to apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical principles to software development.

* Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional engineering teams.
