About the job What are we looking for?

We are looking for a Senior Automation Specialist with strong experience in Ansible Automation Platform (AAP), DevOps, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

You will work with cloud (Azure), virtualization (VMware), and API integrations, creating robust solutions that increase operational efficiency and reduce MTTR.

We seek someone with an "end-to-end" automation mindset, focusing on automation frameworks, reusable playbooks, event-driven automation (EDA), and integration with ITSM tools (ServiceNow).

Requirements

Minimum experience 5+ years in Automation, DevOps, Infrastructure Automation, or Cloud Engineering and 2+ years with Ansible (AAP/Ansible Tower) in a production environment

Ansible Automation Platform (AAP), Ansible Tower, AWX

Development of idempotent playbooks, inventories, and RBAC

Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform

Event-Driven Automation (EDA)

Integration via REST APIs / Webhooks

Experience with Azure, VMware, Active Directory, Windows Server, Linux

Scripting: Python, Bash, PowerShell

CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Git)

Integration with ServiceNow / ITSM platforms

Automation security (secrets management, audit trail, approvals)

Fluent Portuguese and at least intermediate (B2) English

Responsibilities

Develop automations using Ansible AAP / Tower / AWX

Create reusable, scalable, and parameterized playbooks

Define and expand an Automation Catalog / Self-Service Automation

Automate VM lifecycle management (Azure / VMware)

Implement Event-Driven Automation (EDA) using triggers and events

Integrate automation with ServiceNow, APIs, and observability tools

Automate infrastructure tasks (provisioning, remediation, patching, service restarts)

Create runbooks, knowledge base articles, technical documentation, and rollback strategies

Monitor KPIs (automation adoption, success rate, MTTR reduction)

Ensure governance, security, and compliance in automation.

Working Model

Hybrid - 2 to 3 days/week at the client's office, in Lisbon.
