We are seeking a Linux Infrastructure / Operations Support Engineer to support and manage critical Linux-based infrastructure within a large enterprise environment. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong Linux infrastructure experience with hands-on operational or end-user support.
The engineer will be responsible for managing and implementing end-to-end Linux infrastructure that supports critical enterprise platforms, including databases, GRID computing, enterprise job schedulers, and messaging platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, maintain, and implement Linux-based infrastructure across an enterprise environment.
- Provide operational support and troubleshooting for critical infrastructure and applications.
- Support Linux systems hosting databases, GRID computing platforms, enterprise job schedulers, and messaging platforms.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and work toward timely resolution of production-impacting problems.
- Develop and maintain scripts to automate operational and infrastructure tasks.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and support teams to resolve technical issues.
- Participate in weekend support rotations as required.
- Work a 12:30 PM – 9:30 PM shift.
- Apply infrastructure and operational best practices to improve system reliability and supportability.
- Contribute to automation, monitoring, and reliability initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong hands-on Linux infrastructure experience.
- Experience providing operational support, end-user support, or production support.
- Experience managing and troubleshooting enterprise Linux environments.
- Scripting experience in at least one programming/scripting language; Python is preferred.
- Experience with AWS or cloud infrastructure.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and work effectively in a production environment.
- Willingness to work a 12:30 PM – 9:30 PM shift and participate in a weekend rotation.
- Ability to work onsite 4 days per week during the first 6 months, transitioning to 3 days onsite thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience supporting Quartz or Global Markets environments.
- SRE experience or knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering practices.
- Strong Python scripting/automation experience.
- Experience supporting financial services or other highly regulated enterprise environments.
- Experience with enterprise job scheduling, messaging platforms, databases, or GRID computing environments.
Work Environment:
This is a hybrid position based in Pennington NJ or Jersey City, NJ. The role requires 4 days onsite per week for the first 6 months, followed by 3 days onsite per week. The scheduled shift is 12:30 PM – 9:30 PM, with participation in a weekend support rotation.
