Qualifications

Required

• 3+ years of hands-on Odoo experience (v16–19 preferred), including a full implementation or major upgrade
• Real comfort in both functional configuration and Python/ORM development
• Working knowledge of Odoo security (groups, record rules, implied_ids)
• SQL fluency for direct diagnostics
• Git version control experience (branching, code review workflows)
• Manufacturing/MRP implementation experience with Odoo
• Must be able to work on-site full-time in Merritt Island, FL

Role Overview

The Odoo ERP Systems Administrator owns BBF's Odoo 19 Enterprise environment day-to-day—spanning Finance, Procurement, Inventory, Manufacturing, HR, and Projects—along with custom extensions and a Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse used for consolidated reporting.

This is a hybrid functional-and-technical role. The person in this seat moves between configuration, support, and hands-on development within Odoo without handing off to someone else, and is comfortable working directly against the database when the interface isn't enough.

This role is a key link between BBF's business processes and the Odoo systems that run them—ensuring that finance, operations, and project data stay accurate, connected, and reliable as the company grows.

Key Responsibilities

1. ERP Support & Administration

• Support and troubleshoot Odoo across Finance, Procurement, Inventory, Manufacturing, HR, and Projects
• Maintain security configurations, including groups, record rules, and implied_ids
• Manage user access, permissions, and overall system health

2. Custom Development

• Build and maintain custom modules using Python, XML, and OWL
• Extend Odoo functionality to meet BBF-specific business requirements
• Maintain code using Git version control, including branching and code review workflows

3. Financial & Project Systems Configuration

• Maintain analytic accounting structures and project costing flows in Odoo
• Support accurate job-cost visibility for project and finance teams
• Diagnose issues directly against PostgreSQL when the UI isn't sufficient

4. Manufacturing Rollout Support

• Support BBF's Phase 2 manufacturing rollout, including BoMs, routings, and work centers
• Configure and maintain mold tracking functionality
• Partner with manufacturing and operations teams to align the system with shop floor processes

5. Reporting & Data Infrastructure

• Build and maintain the Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse for consolidated reporting
• Keep Lakehouse data reconciled and consistent with Odoo
• Support reporting needs for department and leadership teams

6. System Documentation & Continuous Improvement

• Maintain documentation for configurations, custom modules, and workflows
• Identify opportunities to improve system efficiency and user experience
• Stay current on Odoo upgrades (v16–19) and evaluate the impact of new releases

7. Issue Identification & Risk Management

• Proactively identify potential system and data risks
• Escalate issues early to prevent impact on operations or reporting
• Support resolution through coordination and follow-through
