As the group manager, creative operations on the Brand Engagement team, you will lead the operational engine that enables world‑class creative culture work across Starbucks. This role exists to bring operational excellence, clarity, and accountability to a fast‑moving portfolio of brand‑building work that spans social media, influencer and creator campaigns, experiential activations, partnerships, ecommerce, and global initiatives.
In this role, you will set the vision, strategy, and operating model for creative and project operations, ensuring the Brand Engagement team delivers high‑quality, scalable, and timely creative experiences that deepen customer connection and elevate the Starbucks brand.

- Own the operating model for Brand Engagement work – Design and evolve end‑to‑end workflows, governance, and accountability across always‑on and campaign‑based workstreams, ensuring speed, clarity, and consistency.
- Drive planning, resourcing, and project excellence – Establish master timelines, capacity plans, and integrated trackers across social, influencer, experiential, partnership, and sponsorship initiatives.
- Ensure disciplined execution – Lead weekly status meetings, maintain visibility into risks and interdependencies, and proactively remove blockers to keep work on track.
- Strengthen agency and partner accountability – Oversee agency ways of working, ensure clear ownership of deliverables and timelines, and improve day‑to‑day collaboration with external partners.
- Enable strategic focus for the team – Reduce operational burden on Brand Engagement leaders and managers so they can focus on strategy, creativity, and cultural impact.
- Partner and influence cross‑functionally – Collaborate closely with marketing, brand, digital, retail, legal, and product teams to align priorities and execution across a complex, matrixed organization.
- Develop and lead teams – Inspire, coach, and grow a high‑performing creative operations and project management organization while modeling Starbucks values and leadership behaviors.
- Progressive leadership experience in creative operations, project management, marketing operations, or similar roles supporting high‑volume, cross‑functional work
- Demonstrated ability to stand up centralized project management, timelines, and tracking across multiple concurrent initiatives
- Strong business and operational acumen, including experience with budgeting, forecasting, and capacity planning
- Proven success driving accountability with agencies and external partners
- A collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence without authority
- Experience leading, developing, and inspiring operational and project management teams
- Education: Bachelor's degree minimum, MBA or Masters preferred
- Years of experience in specific field or utilizing designated skills: 8-12 years
- If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.
