Job Duties:Provide technical support by managing service requests through an IT service management (ITSM) ticketing system, responding to customer needs, and troubleshooting complex hardware, software, and network issues. Install, configure, and maintain network equipment and structured cabling using specialized tools and diagnostic equipment servicing TDCJ administrative offices, prisons, parole offices, jails, and production facilities throughout the State of Texas. Working environments include building network infrastructure, including telecommunications rooms, climbing inside ceilings, on rooftops, inside crawl spaces, and utility areas.You'd be a GOOD fit if:You are detail-oriented, bring a strong work ethic, and have experience in criminal justice.You have an HS diploma.You have one year of Information Technology work experience.You can work with minimal supervision.You are able to and have skills to perform installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware, and software related to networks, computers, peripherals, and video surveillance systems.You have the skill to conduct IT related product evaluation.You are able to identify strengths, weaknesses, and potential benefits of IT systems to the agency.You are able to troubleshoot and maintain video surveillance systems.You possess organizational skills, written and oral communication skills.You can work overtime or in emergent situations on weekends or holidays.You'd be a GREAT fit if:You have one year of Information Technology experience and are customer service orientedYou are certified by COMP-TIA in A+, Network+, Or Security+. You have more than 3 years of IT work experience.
