Job Title: Senior Linux Platform Engineer

Workplace Type: Hybrid-4 Days Onsite (Burlington, NJ)


Employment Type: Direct Hire

In this dynamic, hands-on role, you will be at the forefront of designing, automating, and maintaining enterprise-grade Linux environments that support critical business functions. Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to implement scalable solutions, enhance system reliability, and drive modernization initiatives. Required Skills:

  • Extensive experience with Linux systems, specifically RHEL and SUSE, in mission-critical enterprise settings
  • Strong troubleshooting skills encompassing OS, kernel, storage, networking, authentication, and application dependencies
  • Proficiency with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Bash, Python, and Git
  • Solid understanding of virtualization platforms like vSphere, along with compute, server hardware, and lifecycle management
  • Hands-on experience with observability and monitoring tools including Datadog, Dynatrace, Nagios, or similar platforms
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NTP, LDAP/Active Directory, VPN, firewall, and load-balancing concepts
  • Familiarity with enterprise storage and backup solutions such as SAN, NAS, Veeam, NetBackup, or comparable technologies
  • Ability to lead complex technical projects, from planning through implementation and support


Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience supporting security hardening, vulnerability remediation, and compliance standards like SOX and PCI-DSS
  • Cloud computing experience, especially with hybrid or multi-cloud environments
  • Support for containerization, cloud-native architectures, and modernization initiatives


Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or an equivalent technical field
  • 10+ years of hands-on Linux engineering, systems, or platform engineering experience in enterprise production environments


Other Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior engineers and collaborate effectively with offshore and managed service teams
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate across multiple teams and stakeholders
  • Willingness to participate in a rotation for on-call support and maintenance
