Overview
We are hiring a CI/CD Platform Engineer to help build and operate a reliable, scalable, and secure software delivery platform that enables thousands of developers to efficiently and safely ship software. The successful candidate has solid technical fundamentals, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and a passion for continuous improvement.
What you’ll do
- Build, maintain, and support CI/CD platform services alongside senior and lead engineers.
- Own well-scoped deliverables within the Development Platforms organization, escalating blockers early.
- Demonstrate an automation-first mindset to ensure efficient and reliable delivery.
- Apply established security, compliance, and observability practices in the work you deliver.
- Build and maintain metrics and dashboards that track platform health against defined SLIs and SLOs.
- Troubleshoot production incidents, participate in an on-call rotation, and complete assigned remediation follow-ups.
- Participate in code and design reviews, document your work, and help teams adopt platform capabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related discipline or equivalent professional experience.
- 3+ years of relevant hands-on experience with Cloud Infrastructure and CI/CD.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipeline tooling and automation, such as GitLab CI (preferred), GitHub Actions, Jenkins.
- Curiosity for understanding how complex systems interact and a willingness to dig into unfamiliar problems.
- Familiarity with software supply chain security concepts such as reproducible builds, SBOMs, and dependency hygiene.
- Clear communication skills, including the ability to explain your work to teammates and partner teams.
- A willingness to contribute to design docs and take an active role in architecture and technical reviews.
- Enthusiasm for experimenting with AI to boost team productivity, while applying learnings responsibly with attention to security and quality.
- A commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
- Certifications relevant to cloud (AWS preferred), platforms, and security are a plus.
- Building, storing, and deploying software artifacts (binaries, packages, containers) and supporting their lifecycle, security, and compliance.
- Monitoring application health and performance using tools such as Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
- Creating and maintaining cloud infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Troubleshooting Linux-based operating systems, networking, and applications.
- Supporting Disaster Recovery exercises and executing documented recovery procedures.
- Contributing to resilient, scalable, cost-conscious systems and following deployment practices that manage release risk and minimize downtime.
- Developing services and scripts that interact with APIs using languages like Python or TypeScript.
- CICD pipeline, AWS knowledge
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation and how to apply it with services such as Gitlab CI, Jenkins, CodePipeline, or Circle CI
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code frameworks (Terraform, CloudFormation)
