Job Title: Linux Infrastructure Engineer Consultant

Duration: 12 months with extension possible to 18 months

Location: Pennington, NJ (3 days per week onsite)

Other Approved Location: Jersey City, NJ

Pay Scale: $60-63/hr W2 (Cannot subcontract or C2C)

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled, self-motivated Senior Linux Infrastructure Engineer to maintain, automate, and scale our financial services client's core infrastructure platforms. In this role, you will be heavily focused on hands-on engineering, configuration management, and system optimization across cloud, virtual, and bare-metal environments. While your primary duty is to ensure the reliability and uptime of large enterprise systems, you will also coordinate engineering tasks, communicate technical standards, and help align deployment objectives across technology teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Engineering & Lifecycle Management: Coordinate Linux virtual and physical builds, upgrades, patching, and ongoing system support across cloud, virtualization, and bare-metal platforms.
• Automation & CI/CD: Build, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure deployments using modern configuration management tools and version control systems.
• Technical Collaboration: Partner closely with System Administrator teams to ensure rigorous server compliance and technical standards are met across the organization.
• Observability & Capacity Planning: Utilize advanced logging and monitoring tools to analyze system performance, troubleshoot log data, and manage infrastructure capacity.
• Infrastructure Delivery Support: Support and coordinate infrastructure provisioning, security updates, data center migrations, and End-of-Life (EOL) hardware/software lifecycle programs.
• Stakeholder Technical Support: Communicate infrastructure standards and best practices directly to various Lines of Business (LoBs) and participate in cross-functional technical alignment meetings.
