IT Testing Manager
Indexed description
We are looking for an IT Testing Manager who leads with authority and conviction. In this role you will define and own the testing strategy for a major global transformation program, and your judgement will determine what is ready for release and what is not. You will build and lead the testing organization, manage the test execution, hold multiple vendors to account, and present the quality picture and go or no-go recommendations directly to program leadership. It is a role for a proven test and QA leader who is equally comfortable steering senior stakeholders and working through the technical detail.
What you will do
- Lead the testing team, including internal specialists and vendor resources, and establish the standards that define how quality work is delivered.
- Define the end-to-end testing strategy across all phases (SIT, UAT, regression, performance) and put in place a testing framework aligned with the dormakaba PPM methodology.
- Serve as the senior point of contact for all testing matters and represent the function in steering committees and program governance.
- Provide the quality reporting and go or no-go recommendations that leadership depends on for release decisions.
- Hold vendors accountable to their agreed SLAs, quality KPIs, and deliverables, and address shortfalls directly.
- Oversee daily execution, defect triage, and escalation, and lead root-cause analysis on systemic quality issues.
- A strong track record as a test or QA manager who has led testing at scale in complex, multi-vendor IT programs or transformations.
- At least 7 years in software testing or quality assurance, including 3 or more years in a test management or lead capacity.
- Confident leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the presence to influence senior decision-makers and challenge vendors, combined with a genuinely hands-on approach.
- A thorough understanding of all test types and of both Agile delivery (for example SAFe) and waterfall models.
- Practical experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as HP ALM, Xray, Zephyr, ServiceNow, or Jira.
- Experience with SAP or ERP testing is a strong advantage. ISTQB Test Manager certification (Advanced Level) is preferred, and equivalent experience will be considered.
- Business-fluent English is required and German is an advantage.
- You are at ease in an international environment and open to travelling around 25 to 30 percent per year.
- Best opportunities in a globally operating company valuing diversity, inclusion, sustainability and mutual trust
- Home office allowance
- 25 days paid annual leave
- Additional health insurance
- 102.26 EUR Food vouchers
- Public transportation card
- Multisport / Coolfit card
- Opportunity for flexibility with a hybrid working model
- Employee Assistance Program (Mental Health, Legal & Financial Counselling)
- Language training opportunity
- Brand new modern office premises in a class A Business building
- Employee referral program
- Fresh fruits in the office
- Training and mentorship programs
- Access to over 15,000 LinkedIn Learning courses to assist in your development
