Tech Lead - VTEX / eCommerce

Duration: 12+ months
Compensation: $80-95/hr
Location: 100% REMOTE

We’re seeking a hands-on Tech Lead with deep VTEX expertise to guide a global eCommerce rollout. This role owns technical architecture and delivery, balancing global platform standards with country-specific business needs.

Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end architecture across VTEX, front-end applications, APIs, middleware, SAP, and third-party integrations.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, secure solutions, prioritizing reusable capabilities and minimizing technical debt.
• Guide developers and integration teams, establishing engineering standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot complex issues, identify root causes, and resolve technical risks and dependencies.
• Ensure performance, security, resiliency, and deployment readiness through testing, cutover, and go-live.

Qualifications:

• Strong hands-on VTEX and enterprise eCommerce architecture and development experience.
• Proficiency with Node.js, PHP, Next.js, React, and JavaScript.
• Experience designing REST APIs, middleware, and third-party integrations.
• Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns and cloud architecture, including security, scalability, and performance.
• Proven experience leading technical teams through complex global or multi-country implementations.
