About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Technical Business Developer (m/f/d) to drive the growth of our high-performance ceramics division. In this position, you will own the business acquisition strategy, advise international clients on complex ceramic injection molding (CIM/PIM) components, and expand market presence across medical technology, aerospace, industrial automation, and high-end consumer goods.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Growth & Acquisition: Identify, target, and acquire new international accounts while expanding project pipelines within existing key accounts.
- Technical Consulting: Conduct first-level technical consulting and feasibility discussions with prospects regarding custom ceramic component design and CIM/PIM manufacturing.
- Proposal Management: Plan, prepare, and coordinate tailored commercial offers, quotations, and costings in close alignment with engineering and drafting teams.
- Strategic Market Expansion: Perform market analyses, monitor industry trends, and execute strategies to enter new applications for advanced ceramics.
- Client & Trade Show Representation: Serve as the primary point of contact for international clients and represent the business unit at key industry trade fairs, conferences, and workshops (ad-hoc travel in Germany and abroad).
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with internal technical teams to ensure seamless project realization from initial client inquiry to final delivery.
Qualifications & Requirements
Must-Haves:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, Physics, Process Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience: Minimum of ~5 years in technical business development, technical sales, or sales engineering within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Solid understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., Ceramic/Powder Injection Molding, sintering, micro-components) and tools like MS Office and SAP CRM.
- Languages: Business-fluent German (C1 min.) and English (C1 min.) are required for daily international client interactions.
- Workplace Preference: Comfortable working primarily on-site with a fixed 1-day/week WFH policy and willingness to travel for client visits and trade fairs.
Nice-to-Haves:
- French language skills (B2/C1).
- Prior domain expertise in ceramic injection molding (CIM/PIM), precision drive systems, medical devices, aerospace, or luxury goods sectors.
Key Traits:
- Proactive hunter mentality combined with strong strategic thinking.
- Exceptional communication skills with a customer-centric and collaborative approach.
What We Offer

- Attractive Package: Competitive gross annual salary ranging between €70,000 – €100,000 (paid across 13.2 salaries) plus a discretionary annual bonus.
- Perks & Benefits: Up to 32 vacation days + 3 additional days off, JobRad bicycle leasing, and Hansefit health programs.
