Dedicated to quality, using exceptional communication skills to keep our world class systems running. Can accurately define a client issue and can interpret and design a resolution based on deep product knowledge.

Summary:

As an Application Tech Support Practitioner, a typical day involves serving as the primary liaison between clients and the system or application environment. This role focuses on maintaining high standards of service quality by effectively communicating with clients and internal teams. The practitioner dedicates time to understanding client concerns, accurately identifying issues, and ensuring smooth operation of critical systems. They work diligently to interpret client needs and design appropriate resolutions, contributing to the overall reliability and performance of the technology infrastructure.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
  • Responsible for team decisions.
  • Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
  • Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure alignment of technical solutions with business requirements.
  • Mentor junior team members to support their professional growth and enhance team capabilities.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively identify areas for improvement to prevent potential issues.

Professional & Technical Skills:

  • Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in SUSE Linux Administration.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux system architecture, including file systems, process management, and networking.
  • Experience with system monitoring tools and performance tuning to maintain optimal system health.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues related to operating system and application interactions.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages to automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency.
  • Understanding of security best practices and patch management within Linux environments.

Additional Information:

  • The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in SUSE Linux Administration.
  • This position is based at our PDC3C - SEZ location.
