About Position:


We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager (TPM) with strong Japanese language proficiency (Level 2) to manage Japan-based client projects, enable seamless communication, translate technical documents, and ensure successful project execution. The role requires a blend of project management, technical understanding, and Japanese translation/interpretation skills..

What You'll Do:


  • Lead and manage end-to-end delivery of Japan-focused IT projects.
  • Drive project planning, execution, tracking, and risk management.
  • Align project deliverables with timelines, scope, and quality standards.
  • Communicate project status and risks to stakeholders.
  • Japanese Language Translation & Interpretation- Translate technical documents, user stories, project specs, BRDs/SRS from Japanese ↔ English.
  • Provide real-time interpretation during client calls, demos, and reviews.
  • Support Japanese-speaking stakeholders with accurate and context-aware communication.


Expertise You'll Bring:


  • Act as the primary bridge between Japanese clients and the internal delivery team.
  • Conduct requirement-gathering sessions in Japanese.
  • Ensure cultural sensitivity and communication clarity.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on technical discussions.
  • Understand fundamentals of SDLC, cloud, APIs, microservices, and agile processes (not hands-on coding, but good conceptual knowledge).
  • Facilitate backlog grooming, sprint planning, and release coordination.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (Dev, QA, BA, DevOps).
  • Support team with translation of defect logs, release notes, and design documents.
  • Mentor team members on Japan-specific communication etiquette.
  • Japanese Language Skills- Translate technical documents, user stories, project specs, BRDs/SRS from Japanese ↔ English.
  • Strong verbal & written Japanese communication.
